****NEW MEETING PLACE****
We'll meet at the bridge where Loders Creek empties into the Broadwater, near the Southport Coast Guard and Labrador Maccas. We'll ride aliong High Street/Ferry Road to the Arts Centre, then cut across Chevron Island to the beach path, ride south to just before Miami hill, then cut right real quick. The objective is Grandad Jack's Gin Distillery. We'll have a cocktail and chill for a bit, and then head back.

What about Sunday 21st? It's still GC600, but I think going along Ferry Road to Chevron Island would be OK....
I had a look at the GC highway yesterday.... looks like a bit of a tight squeeze for bikes + cars... at least southbound...

I think Sunday would probably be worse as everyone will be trying to leave once it is finished. I can't make Sunday as I have to work.

We might be better off leaving further north, I am thinking near Loders Creek bridge. that will make it easier to get on to Ferry Road as well I think.
By the way, I don't ride real fast.

I was actually thinking of the one on Marine Parade/Gold Coast highway, near the boat ramp across from the volunteer coast guard.

Saturday 20 is the GC600, so not sure that we will be able to ride through from Southport to Surfers.

Ok. I had a look at road closures. It appears that the Gold Coast highway is open for two way traffic, so we can go along there and hop over to the beach path in the south part of Surfers. Alternately we could take High Street/Ferry Road as far as the Arts Centre, then cross over Chevron.

Hi all!
Just as an FYI this will be weather permitting! If it's super yuck like now (Thursday evening) we'll postpone to another day.
Also, not sure how clear my description was, but meeting place is the north end (Southport side) of the bridge from Southport to Main Beach.
