Did a 52km ride to Granton this morning taking me to the 800km Mark, thus completing my challenge. Thank you everyone of you for supporting me both financially as a sponsor and also being there for me as a friend. Of course this has been the hardest challenge ever, though knowing that Kai was with me at every turn of the pedal made me go on. The rides were a good way for me to cope mentally, exercise has been proven to help people grieving, I focussed on the challenge it made me stronger physically and mentally, which made me a stronger person to be there for those who need me right now. Thanks again for your support.
Today I hit the 700.1km mark. Really pleased with my effort and super happy to have such an awesome group of people behind me. This year has been the worst year of my life but am so humbled by all the love and support you have all shown. This Challenge means a lot to me and also meant a lot to Kai, he always looked forward to seeing how I was going. He would be so proud.
Just got from a ride out to Claremont only to find heaps of donations have come in while I was out being blown about by the wind. Here is a photo of me in my Hero Jersey which GCC awarded me for my efforts. Thanks for all your support every one of you, thanks a lot.
Thank you to all my supporters, this year’s Challenge has been overwhelming. I feel humbled to have such fantastic people behind me. With today being Day 7 it is a relief that I have peddled 207km this week, all be it virtually. Been to England, Las Vegas, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Holland and Japan. Hoping to take the bike out on the road later on when things settle down a bit. Thank you all for your support. Best wishes John
