I am so excited and humble with the fact we have passed $10,000 which never in my dreams had I thought would be possible. This year has taken a new turn for the fundraising I had started as I have had a group of lovely people who have been affected by Cancer in some way themselves and wanted to help me with my target, these people are my superheros and I will cherish everything they have done, not for me but for the children who will hopefully gain the benefits of the money raised. Sometimes all it takes is to open your hearts to the right people and good will come from it, my wish is that good is a cure for Cancer as the heartbreak it causes is tremendous and takes a lot to get over. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this cause, your generosity will always remain with me!
I am feeling elated that this years fundraising is going so great and I have to thank the hard working ladies who are doing a fantastic job helping me reach my targets. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon as the more I can raise the more hope there is in finding a cure for this horrible disease.
Every year that I have done the Great Cycle Challenge in September or early October I have bike troubles. This year I am waiting to take my Merida Roadie down to Adelaide for an overdue service so I was riding my number 2 bike my Giant and snapped a spoke in the back wheel, an easy fix but an inconvenience at the same time. So training rides have been interrupted which is probably a good thing as for the last two weeks my spinal injury has been giving me grief. As soon as my bikes have been fixed up I should be right to go again and then I will be ready to smash out the kilometres in October!
I can't believe it I have reached my original target of $3000 and it's only mid August. Who knows where this will go but the more the better, as every cent raised is a big step forward to helping the Children's Medical Research Institute in their endeavour to find a cure for childhood cancer.
This is so awesome to have raised $2,500 and it's only mid August. I am totally in awe of the wonderful little group of ladies and men who have taken it upon themselves to be my fundraising committee led by my unstoppable partner Jacqueline, they have outdone themselves. I am doubly excited as not only are we getting much needed funds for all the wonderful kids living with Cancer but I also have qualified to receive a Brody inspired Batman jersey which I will be wearing with pride. I thank all those wonderful people who have sponsored me and I know the kids would like to thank you to. Hoping that money snowball keeps rolling and increasing in size so that we can hopefully one day eradicate this horrible disease we know as Cancer.
I am so overwhelmed by the generosity of so many Ladies and Gentlemen who have dug into their pockets and got my fundraising off to a fantastic start. My goal is to raise $3,000 and already after 5 days of this years launch I am already past the halfway mark. Our kids are in need of some support to further the research into finding a cure from this horrible disease and all these wonderful people have answered that call and I would like to thank each and everyone of you lovely people, I along with all these brave kids who battle every day against Cancer appreciate all you have done, Thank you so much and keep those donations coming.
