Whether you're a recreational cyclist, seasoned pedalling professional or mad keen MAMIL (middle-aged man in lycra), you can join the Great Cycle Challenge this October to fight kids' cancer!
Steps to Take Part
Step 1: Sign Up for the Challenge
Make your pledge to take up the challenge and register online. Registration is FREE and signing up now will motivate you to start planning your personal cycling challenge to fight kids' cancer!
The sooner you register, the more motivated you will be on get on your bike!
Step 2: Recruit Your Friends
Ask your family, friends or cycling buddies to join you or get your workplace involved to ensure you motivate each other throughout the month.
You can even create a team and you'll be able to track your teams kilometres through your team profile page.
Step 3: Set a Riding Goal
Set yourself a personal ride target to ensure you are ready to pedal it down for the 31 days of October. Be sure you set a target that is a personal challenge for you, and one that you believe you can achieve.
You set a target when you register, but you can change this at anytime.
Step 4: Raise funds
Send an email to your friends, family and colleagues to tell them about your riding challenge and ask for their support.
You can also use Facebook to share your page or download our personalised posters to spread the word about your challenge.
Be sure to start fundraising before October as it will motivate you in the lead up to the event.
If you are one of the first 2,500 riders to raise $500, you will receive your very own Great Cycle Challenge jersey!
Step 5: Ride
Get on your bike and pedal for 31 days throughout October to fight kids' cancer!
You can ride with friends, your local cycling club, your co-workers or by yourself. You can ride to work each day, do laps of a park on the weekend or embark on an epic cycling adventure for a week or a month - it's up to you.
