Hi, I'm back on the Great Cycle Challenge (GCC) for the 5th time this year. I am committed to riding 900 km's in October which equates to 30 kms per day, not bad for a 'build up' activity lol and my goal is $1000.
I have experienced cancer first hand, next year, I will be 10 years in remission, my Dad died when I was 3 of cancer and a wonderful friend of mine, who I am riding in his memory, Christian died after a brave and huge fight against the disease.
I am very passionate that no-one should have cancer but especially not children; right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
These little super heroes are my heroes along with and equal to, Wonder Woman!
And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Thanks for your support.
