I'm Riding For

Lucca was just 16 months old when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She endured a very lengthy hospital stay and months of intense chemo treatment, which constantly made her very tired and very sick. Despite her pain, she always wore her bright smile and warmed the hearts of those around her. Sadly on the 14th May, 2019, Lucca took her last breath, her little body all out of fight. Lucca, her twin brother Ryly and her Mum, to me are the epitome of brave! We will all stand by you to keep Lucca’s memory alive. Much love xx #fortheloveoflucca #forevertwo 💜💜

My Story

6 Jul 2019

In 2018 I was inspired to take part in this challenge after hearing a story about sweet little girl in the fight for her life with a rare form of cancer. I followed her story and fell in love with her gorgeous smile. This year I ride with Lucca in my heart, with a hope that one day, families like hers don’t have to endure the nightmares of cancer.

Cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Throughout October I will be attempting to ride 450km and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Thanks for your support.
