My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Together, we can save little lives.

Thanks for your support.

Including today 3 days to go… well and truely on the downhill stretch now … only 27km to go to reach 1400km … I can’t believe it myself.

Thank you all for your support on behalf of all the kid and in particular Sophia pictured here. Her family had a special note for US in the comments section. That’s right US… you should all be very proud to have supported this challenge.

    Sophia's Story:

16-month-old Sophia was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive germ cell tumour in July. 💔

Since her diagnosis, she has endured all sorts of scans, a nasal endoscopy, a biopsy, a central line insertion, 3 rounds of chemotherapy and blood transfusions.

Unfortunately, her family have just been given the news that Sophia's cancer is still active and visible in scans.

Sophia will keep fighting like the 'small but strong' legend she is... she's not giving up!

Over these final 3 days, let's keep Sophia in our hearts and minds as we turn those pedals and climb those hills.

    Let's bring it home! 😎✈️👍🏴‍☠️🚴🇦🇺
