This October, Levi's Legends is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

We are riding for our buddy Levi, who has been battling a brain tumour for 7 years, he fights every day of his young life.

This 13-year-old boy has endured more than 2 years of chemotherapy and 11 major surgeries, had more hospital visits than you could count and has defied the odds of survival time and time again...

But no matter how many times he's been knocked down, Levi gets back up, dusts himself off, and lives to fight another day.

Levi is the most amazing kid we've ever met, and this October we will be riding for him! :)

Because kids like Levi should be living life, not fighting for it.

Please join the team today and let's get behind Levi and ride together to show cancer who's boss!

Together, we can save little lives.

    Thanks for your support.

P.S. If you scroll to the bottom of this feed, we've created a little timeline of Levi over the past 4 years...you'll LOVE it.

And of course, Levi received the very first Hero jersey from the 2017 challenge...and he LOVED it.

Not all superheroes wear capes...but now, this one does. :)

To prove it, we even designed the 2017 Hero jersey in his honour. Here's a little rundown of key elements of the jersey...

    Levi's favourite colour: Red

    Levi's favourite superhero: The Flash

Levi's favourite saying: "Anything is possible"

Plus, the back of the jersey is signed by Levi himself, so you'll be climbing those hills with Levi at your back. Awesome.

It takes a hero to make a Hero jersey...damn straight.

He's back in 2017 to show cancer who's boss. Levi is the official ambassador for the 2017 challenge and we could not be prouder of having him involved in the challenge.

And we received this message from mum the Bockman family...

"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible efforts in the 2016 Great Cycle Challenge. Because of the huge amount you raised in the ride this year, we are filled with hope that new treatment options will be available in the very near future that will help Levi to give him a fighting chance at living into his teens and beyond.

Levi loves the event and all the GCC riders and we are all so appreciative of your efforts to help him and his friends who live with cancer to have a future. THANK YOU so much for your support to fight childhood cancer."

Just a few minutes after finishing his final ride and completing his first Great Cycle Challenge EVER!

After 3 years of being forced to pull out of the challenge due to complications with his brain tumour, he came back for another crack because NOTHING will stop him!

And in typical Levi style, he did an extra 1km because he always likes to beat any goal he sets himself...what a legend. :)

Just 10km from his goal, we received this text message and pic from his mum, Rachel.

"Hi. Levi loved those messages of support from the GCC community. He had just gone to bed reading a book and I showed him all the messages. He jumped out of bed and was so inspired by everyone's support, he got on the spin bike and did another 5km then went back to bed. :)"

    Wow, just wow.

Here he is in last year's challenge, just 27km from achieving his 150km goal and completing his first Great Cycle Challenge.

As you can imagine, there was lots of cheering in GCC HQ. :)

Levi ditched the training wheels and was back in 2016 to take on the challenge once again, with the goal to ride 150km and complete his first challenge EVER!

It was also assumed that due to his left-sided weakness from his brain tumour, Levi would never be able to ride a bike.

But in typical Levi style, he proved everyone wrong as he will NEVER give up!

We really should learn, that telling this kid he can't do something...means he will do it.

And a little tribute to an unsung hero. Here's Levi with his mum, Rachel.

Now this is one incredible lady (and she'll probably hate that we put this up).

Plus, a week later we took the trip up to see him for a surprise visit. He was VERY excited to see the team when we walked in his room and there was smiles and cuddles all round.

We had a fantastic day going through the messages written to him from the GCC community, reciting your jokes and pulling funny faces. But the best part, Levi had a big smile on his face all day...probably because he smashed us at Uno. :)

He said it was the highlight of his week, but really, it was the highlight of our year.

Levi was rushed to hospital just 2 days later after brain fluid was found leaking from his nose. this pic is taken in hospital as he was reading through your jokes...

He was laughing so hard he could barely talk. :)

Unfortunately, for the second year running, Levi was forced to pull out of the challenge due to health risks with his tumour...he was heart-broken.

We asked him what would cheer him up and he told us he wanted to hear some jokes....and the GCC community responded with 677 jokes written to him on Facebook.

It was one of our favourite moments of GCC, because you all came to his rescue to put a BIG smile on his face. :)

Plus, we heard some great jokes.

The night before we hit $2m, Levi got on his scooter and went door-knocking around his local neighbourhood to try and help us reach $2m...man, this kid is incredible.

Sadly, he was rushed to hospital just 10 days into the challenge...and all he was worried about was getting on his bike so he would not let his sponsors down. #LevitheLegend
