Stuart

Stuart

A wonderful younger brother, had his own bricklaying company. Built up a great business despite rip offs from builders and unions playing it hard on him for his non-unionised business. Honest, loved by his employees and friends he had kept for life since school. Won his age and weight division in the Victorian Masters Boxing titles, but decided not to try for the Nationals because he was too tired, not recovering well from fights and training, struggling with weight limits. Turned out he had lung cancer when he won the Vics. By the time it was diagnosed, he went to the doctor with serious chest pains when he coughed, it had spread to his brain and spine. He was dead 4 months after diagnosis. An "ordinary" man who led an extraordinary life. He wasn't famous, he just attracted good people as he went through life, and they stayed friends. He had over 700 people attend his funeral.

This October, Mutual Inspiration is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so we are riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support our challenge by making a donation through our fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Together, we can save little lives.

    Thanks for your support.
