Three weeks down, One week to go

Week 3 Down, and we are into the fourth week of October, riding to fight kids cancer, which means there's still some rides left and more updates, and there's still more opportunity to donate, if you know anyone who might be enthused let them know.

I hope you have enjoyed the ride updates so far with photos of my rides, it's a good way for supporters to join me in my rides, I also post photos and updates on GCCFriendsOfOz FB page and it's been a great year with the riders being supportive of each other all over Australia.

I did receive my 2025 Jersey today, which I'll be wearing and I'll get a photo soon wearing my new jersey and with my bike 😃

We are into the fourth week, and so far we have beaten my set fundraising goal of $600 and I have since increased the amount goal to $1000, we may or may not reach this goal yet we will see.

I have ridden 75% of my ride distance goal , with 25% remaining, which I anticipate I'll complete this week, with updates and photos of course.

Thanks for your support, it makes all the difference, and some of you have supported me every year so far, and others intermittently, all support and donations are appreciated each year, with the children, their families, and medical and research teams, regularly reaching out to offer thanks and gratitude and recognition.

Stay tuned, and enjoy the last week or so, and then it's all over for another year, with this year 2005 being my sixth year so far.

GCC Rider Blog - Week 1 Done & Dusted

Good day folks, it's the end of the first week and we are into the second week of the Great Cycle Challenge 2025, and it's time for a blog, to update you, my supporter and supporters, as we together support children fighting for their little lives against cancer.

Financial support for the expenses of high level medical requirements over the longer term is integral for the full benefits for the children to receive good treatment and to recover well, and so whilst I am doing the riding and fundraising, you are providing the generous and essential funds, and together we are able to make a good difference.

The first week has been pretty great, so far raising well over half my set goal of $600, and riding a third of my set distance of 300km, we are well on the way, and on the way well.

Breaking in my recently rebuilt Giant 26" MTB has been a challenge for me, and having a second bike this year has served me well, with the Giant MTB requiring a couple of days off for some maintenance I've used my Vivente Novara Hybrid Sport for a few rides so far, and the Giant Mountain Bike is back in action now, for now at least.

I'm looking forward to this second week, and today Wednesday 8th October is Donation Match Day, where every donation is matched generously by some rich and wealthy people, which is great, so we'll see what that brings for us and hopefully Team Dean GCC2025 will hit the fundraising goal soon , yeah , and then I'll have to increase it.

Well, I want to offer my personal Thank You, again, because you are making a difference that counts, with me, together, and that's great 😃👍
