Join anywhere along the route - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30776493 - 95km flat ride out to our beautiful Moreton Bay and across to Redcliffe for a great coffee. Covers some of the best bikeways north of the river, including the new Gateway Motorway. Fairly flat, easy to keep up a good pace in a group, so probably pace at 28-30kph. If demand is there, could repeat later in month at a more leisurely pace!
In memory of my nephew's son Ben, who died in April this year after 5y of battling with leukaemia.

Folks - out this morning and realised it's getting hot fairly quickly in the morning, beautiful early, so hopefully you can all still make! Starting now in West End at 5:30am so all other times moved an hour.

Hi Mike. I somehow put my name down for this but pace is a little fast for me at the moment. I shall not do this ride but would be keen if you did a slower pace, 20-23km. Enjoy.

No problems Cath - I'll look to do it again at a more leisurely pace on another weekend as I have others keen. Probably shorten it to Sandgate which is also a great ride!

We now have around a dozen riders which is great - thanks all! But more than that I think can be difficult to manage so I think I should close off further joiners and look to a repeat later in the month. Leaving West End at 6:30 will put us at Kurilpa Bridge at 6:40, Roma St Parklands at 6:45, Breakfast Ck under Airport link 6:50, Albion Stn at 7:00, and Toombul at 7:10. We'll wait 10min at Toombul, to get to Sandgate waterfront by 7:50-8am and Butcher-Baker Coffeemaker by 8:15-8:30! Hopefully we can tear ourselves away after 15min or so for the ride home via the Gateway Bikeway, about 1:45h to West End depending on the wind.
