This October, I undertook the Great Cycle Challenge alongside an incredible community of bike riders, uniting as one, with the mission of ending childhood cancer. Together we can so much hope to courageous kids and their families battling cancer.

Cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week. What these brave kids go through on a day-to-day basis is heartbreaking. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Funds donated during October have gone towards supporting the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Update: Great Cycle Challenge completed! After 160 hrs & 41 mins of cycling (averaging 31.1km/h) over the course of October, the 5000km goal has been reached and an incredible $5299 has been raised!!! I can't thank you all enough for the support and donations over the course of the challenge, it means so much.

Your donations have given these brave kids and their families a reason to smile, and more importantly, you've given them hope for a cancer-free future and the support they need to continue their fight to beat this awful disease. We can all strive for the day when childhood cancer is a distant memory.

I was determined to show these courageous kids that they are not alone in their fight to beat this terrible disease. They never give up, and neither will I.
