My Story

4 Sep 2020

I have shaved my head twice in my life to help raise money for kids fighting cancer and bring awareness to my community and what they can do to get on board and help out. Well, as I get older my hair is not growing so fast and it's just not the same cutting it off if it's not long! But this time round is different because someone I love is now fighting for their life, so the fight just got bigger.

In June this year my nephew was diagnosed with an aggressive form or Ewing Sarcoma which is a bone cancer. My whole family went into a flurry of research, questions, finding answers and coming to terms with what this meant for Lachlan and how he was going to get through this. It is one day at a time for him and his mum and watching him go through something so painful and uncomfortable is just one of the many battles with cancer, you see cancer doesn't just attack the person, it wages war on the whole family and it is horrible.

Every Dollar Counts.
