2026 - now aged 76, but still going! 50km or more. Goal is $500 at least.
Oct 2025, my 6th GCC. 75y.o. 75km. $500 goal. Please support if you can.
Sept, 2023 - I am back again, 5th year of GCC, hopefully it will benefit both the fight against kids cancer, & also my fight against the flab!
Time to dust the cobwebs off the bike.

July 29, 2022 - Ok, here I am again for my 4th GCC. This time with my good new hip, so it should be all systems go to get out there and crank out some KM on my power assisted bike for the hills around Cairns. This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer. Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
