My Story
This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia â over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Oops bit late!
14 Oct 2024Ok so think Monday afternoons will be out from here on out. Kids dance goes until 6.15 and they had been using my phone for zoom so of course it was just about flat! Anyway I left it behind and headed off eagerly. The head wind was horrible and my legs burned before I even left the street. Then came another hiccup - a daddy Emu and his chicks. I waited for them all to cross the Rd then have them a wide girth so he knew I was not a threat. Then back into the head wind ðŠ I rode as quick as I could because I knew I did not have a great deal of sunlight left. The darkness got the better of me so I turned around just shy of my goal destination. Here's hoping for a less hectic and less windy day tomorrow so I can finally get a decent ride in.
