My Ride for Kids with Cancer

This October, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge, a nationwide fundraising event organised by the Children’s Medical Research Institute to fight kids’ cancer.

I’ve set myself a goal of 300km, but I’ll be pushing to go further and break past that target. Every kilometre I ride is part of this shared effort to support kids who are facing cancer.

While I don’t have cancer myself, I was born with certain medical conditions and disabilities. That’s why I can empathise with the struggles these children face. Their illness is not something they chose or caused—it’s a heavy burden placed on them at such a young age. They deserve the chance to live their childhood to the fullest, not spend it in hospital wards.

By joining this challenge, I hope to contribute—no matter how small—towards making a difference. The funds raised through this event go directly to support research, diagnosis, treatment, and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
