My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

    disbelief after having my first seizure 9 years ago waking up to my wife screaming next to me in our tent at a holiday campground during my first tonic clonic gran mal seizure that came out of nowhere. I awoke again in the back of an ambulance then transferred to a CT machine revealing what no one wants to hear you have a 10cm stage IV GBM “The terminator” because of its size location and advanced stage you have a prognosis of 2 months it’s inoperable you should go home get your affairs in order and spend your remaining days with your family. Wait what? That can’t be right I’m meeting my grandkids one day! I want a second opinion. I was then transferred to Charlie Gardner Hospital in Perth for an MRI. A neurologist called me a week later and said the initial prognosis was wrong it is a different lesion tumour and a different stage Astrocytoma stageIII still not good but operable and with conventional treatment I’d likely live another 5 years. Ok I’m in. I’ve told my boys that I’m meeting my grandkids someday not that it’s rush💨 9 year anniversary last March 4th year ridding GCC 3000kms $$3000 raised donations thanks sponsers. Every days a gift that’s why
