Every year I ride for kids cancer - 8 years and still going. My challenge this year is hard to decide with all this lockdown stuff. I am limited to riding 5 kms from home or within my local government area which does not quite stretch 10 kms in any direction. So far this lockdown I have been doing an orchid a day - more walking than cycling. Not sure the orchids will hang on that well into October.
Maybe there will be a chance to do a tour later. With that in mind I will use October as a training month - one hill a day for the first week four days a week, then stepping up to 2 hills then 3 hills then 4 hills. Maybe end with a gran fondo in the last week or at least 100 kms
Be warned I might not take a tape measure with me across the fluoro yellow line
Cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support.
