I’m participating in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric cancer, a cause that feels even closer to home now. As a parent to my nearly 2-year-old son, Alexander, and with twins joining our family in July, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of urgency to support children battling this disease. While my kilometers this year may be smaller because of pregnancy and caring for our little ones, my commitment is as strong as ever.

Paediatric cancer is a reality that no child should have to face. The funds raised through this challenge go directly to vital research and support programs that can change lives and give these brave kids a fighting chance. I believe every child deserves access to the best care possible and the opportunity to live a happy, healthy life.

My fundraising goal this year is $1,300 — beating my total from last year — and every donation, big or small, brings hope to children and families affected by cancer.
