    2 Oct 2017

Today I figured with my normal twisted logic that after riding too far yesterday I might as well go even further today. I figured if I rode out for 40kms I'd have to return home and accidentally end up with 80km's. I set out along Attamurra road enjoying the sunshine & light winds. The water birds along the way were amazing with duck, ibis and black swans. Other birds included kookaburras, cockatoos and again plenty of swooping magpies. Saw a fox that started running towards me but then got startled and bolted into the long grass. Stupidly not taking enough fuel with me and eating both my banana and nut bar on the way out left me feeling very lethargic on the way home. With still 20 kms to go I was fantasising over all the food I planned to eat as soon as I collapsed through the doorway. Without all this imaginary food and an awesome audiobook I don't think I would have made it home.

A very big thank you to the generous donations of Sonia & Jamie Solly and Kylie Hann, your amazing support is so appreciated 😍❤️

    1 Oct 2017

Here we go again for another month of cycling. Began this morning by checking weather report for wind direction so set off towards Glencoe heading into strong winds & light showers. This wasn't the start to October cycling I'd been hoping for 😆 It was hard going with frequent magpie attacks. The rain came along a few times but never lasted long. I was very happy to see Glencoe but figured with wind to help blow me home I should continue on a bit further. I didn't have the heart to climb the mile hill on my 1st day back in the saddle so turned around for home. The winds helped get me home but with 15 kms to go my legs were trashed. Simply by putting the head down & turning the cranks you always seem to end up at home. Surprise, surprise I've overdone it on day 1. Oh well a sleep should fix everything .

A massive thank you to the very generous initial sponsors of Angela & Andrew Turner & Matt Morton,

your amazing support is so awesome 😍❤️

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Together, we can save little lives.

    Thanks for your support.
